HOSPITAL CHRONICLES
(NOSOKOMEIAKA CHRONIKA)

The official medical journal of the Scientific Society of Evangelismos Hospital is published continuously since 1948 under the title “Nosokomeiaka Chronika” having contributed largely to the education of generations of Greek physicians. It has been  awarded by the National Academy of Athens for its consistency and dedication to the postgraduate education of Greek physicians. The Journal is published quarterly and contains original research articles, original clinical studies, interesting cases, symposia, seminars, viewpoints, letters to the Editor and special articles. It has also been the forum for publication of the most prominent scientific achievements of the medical profession of Evangelismos hospital.

The Editorial Board of the Journal has recently decided to make a serious and sincere effort to bring the Journal to the world at large, by transforming it into an international journal, titled Hospital Chronicles, published quarterly, and converting its official language into English. The main aim of the editorial board will focus on producing a peer-reviewed international medical journal which will attract authors from all disciplines in Medicine to submit manuscripts, including original articles, comprehensive reviews, case reports, images in medicine, seminars & symposia, which will be educational and informative of important progress in clinical investigation in all fields of Medicine. An effort will be made to have the Journal ready to enter the process of getting into the Index Medicus in the succeeding 2-3 years.

A number of eminent Greek and International Scientists joined the two Editors, CG Alexopoulos and AS Manolis on a long and difficult journey  to support the Journal to find its suitable place in the world of medical journals in the current electronic era, where knowledge encounters no limits.
